Within Prism, you can build a comprehensive professional portfolio by detailing your demographics, teaching responsibilities, service contributions, and scholarly activities. The Profile section, accessible from your dashboard or left menu, allows you to input and manage your personal information(Name, Email address etc) educational background, employment history, and various achievements. You can also upload and store your resume and curriculum vitae. The system helps you document your teaching expertise, automatically filling in assigned courses by academic year, and provides sections for entering scholarly activities and service contributions. Once completed, you can generate a CV in .docx format with all your entered information.

1. Go to Dashboard and click Profile.
   
2. Go to the menu on the top left corner and click Profile
3. The page will load, and you will see a few items displayed: 
   
   
   
   
4. Within Profile Info, you can enter details regarding your demographics(Name, Email address, Race etc), education, employment, licenses, awards, etc. You can also upload and store your updated resume and curriculum vitae here. 
5. The teaching section allows you to enter information about your teaching expertise. This section will automatically fill with courses your program has assigned you within the system, broken down by academic year. 
   1. Contact your department chair or system administrator if you do not see one of your courses listed here. 
      
      

5. Each academic appointment within your profile section will create a section within the Teaching Details section. 
   a. Click the + icon at the very top to add teaching details for any given academic year. 
   b. Click the + next to the specific academic year to add teaching details. 
   
   

6. Within the Scholarship section, you can store information on scholarly activities you have participated in throughout your career including publications, presentations, grant-funded research, and more. 
   a. Click on the + icon within each section to add a new entry
   b. Click on the pencil icon to edit any details previously entered
   
   
   
   
7. Add any service you provide to your academic institution, profession, or community, along with membership details. 
   
   

Generate CV

Once you’ve completed your profile, you can download all the information you’ve entered in the system! 

1. Select Profile from your dashboard or left menu. 
   
   
2. Click Generate CV from the top right of the page. 
   
   
3. Your CV will download in a .docx format.
