The Exxat Student Mobile application serves as a comprehensive digital companion throughout your educational journey. Designed specifically for healthcare and clinical education programs, this mobile platform delivers the full functionality of the Exxat Prism Student web application directly to your smartphone or tablet.
Whether you are completing clinical rotations, preparing for upcoming placements, or managing compliance, the Exxat Prism Student Mobile application enables you to manage your academic responsibilities anytime and from any location.
The application is developed and supported by Exxat.
App Overview
The Exxat Student Mobile application allows you to manage all educational activities through a clean and intuitive interface with four primary navigation tabs Home, Compliance , Coursework and More.
Home
Provides access to current placements, institutional announcements, required attestations, compliance tasks, and program requirements.Compliance
Allows you to manage compliance requirements, upload documents, and monitor approval status and expiration dates.Coursework
Displays current, completed, and upcoming placements and provides access to associated learning activities.More
Enables you to update your profile, view academic information, access communications and interventions, use institutional resources, request technical support, and manage application settings.

Supported Devices
The Exxat Student Mobile App is available for:

Download the App
You can download the application using one of the following methods:
- Download the app directly from the Apple App Store.

Download the app directly from the Google Play Store.
- Scan the QR code available on the Exxat Prism Student dashboard to open the appropriate app store and download the application.
Sign In
Tap the Exxat Student icon on your mobile.
Enter your Username.
Tap Next
Enter your Password (University Credentials).
Tap Sign in.
Note:
If you do not remember your password, select Forgot Password?
You will receive an email at your registered email address with instructions to reset your password.
If login issues persist, contact prism-support@exxat.com for assistance.
Enable Touch ID or Face ID
Biometric authentication allows you to use your device's supported biometric features, such as Touch ID or Face ID, to sign in to the application.
The available biometric option depends on your mobile device and operating system.
Enable Biometric Authentication
- Sign in to the Exxat Student Mobile App.
- Tap More.
- Tap Settings.
- Locate the Biometric Authentication setting.
- Enable the biometric authentication toggle.
Changes take effect immediately.
Disable Biometric Authentication
- Tap More.
- Tap Settings.
- Disable the Biometric Authentication toggle.
Biometric sign-in is disabled immediately.
Navigating the Exxat Student Mobile App
The Exxat Student Mobile App uses a bottom navigation bar to provide quick access to the primary areas of the application.
The navigation bar is available throughout most areas of the application and allows you to switch between features without returning to the Home page.

Managing the Home Page
The Home page serves as the central dashboard for the application.
From the Home page, you can:
- View current placement information.
- Review institutional announcements.
- Access required attestations.

- View program requirements.
- Review pending actions that require attention.
Viewing Notifications
- In the Exxat Student Mobile App.
- In the top-right corner, tap the Notifications (Bell) icon.
- Review the available notifications.
- Select a notification to view additional details.
Compliance
The Compliance section allows you to manage compliance requirements established by your institution.
From the Compliance section, you can:
- View compliance requirements.
- Review compliance statuses.
- Upload required documents.
- Monitor document approval status.
- Track upcoming expirations.
- Review compliance notes and feedback.
Use this section regularly to ensure that all compliance requirements remain current.
Coursework
The Coursework section provides access to placements, courses, and learning activities.
From the Coursework section, you can:
- View current, completed, and upcoming placements.
- Access course information.
- Review placement details.
- View gradebook information.
- Complete coursework activities.
- Manage patient logs.
- Record timesheets.
- Submit time-off requests.
- Manage experiential supervisors.
- Review coursework items requiring attention.
The Coursework section is the primary location for managing clinical and academic activities.
More
The More section provides access to additional tools, resources, and application settings.
From the More section, you can:
- View and update profile information.
- Access academic information.
- Review communications.
- View interventions.
- Access school resources and contacts.
- Submit support requests.
- Configure application settings.
- Manage biometric authentication.
- Sign out of the application.
Managing the Home Page
The Home page serves as the central dashboard of the Exxat Student Mobile App. It provides quick access to placements, coursework, compliance requirements, program requirements, attestations, and notifications.
The Home page helps you monitor your academic and clinical activities and identify items that require attention.
Viewing Current Placements
The Current Placements section displays placements that are currently active.
Current placement information helps you monitor placement progress and quickly access placement-related activities.

The Current Placements section displays your active placements.
Placement Information
Depending on your institution's configuration, placement information may include:
- Placement name
- Placement dates
- Placement location

Accessing Placement Details
Placement Details provides access to information and activities associated with a placement.
From Placement Details, you can access:
- Coursework Attestations
- Compliance requirements
- Patient Logs
- Timesheets
- Time Off requests
- Experiential Supervisor information
- Placement-related details
Open Placement Details
- Sign in to the Exxat Student Mobile App.
- Navigate to the Home page.
- Locate the desired placement in the Current Placements section.
- Select the placement.
The Placement Details page opens.
Completing Placement Requirements
Current placements appear at the top of the Home screen. Each placement card includes the following information:

Accessing Placement Details
Open the Exxat Student Mobile App.
Navigate to the Home page.
Locate the desired placement in the Current Placements section.

You will be navigated to the coursework section and the placement detail view opens and displays associated learning activities.
Placement Overview
The top section of the Placement Details page displays key placement information.
Depending on your institution's configuration, the following information may be displayed:
Completing Attestations
Attestations are mandatory acknowledgments required by your institution.
Viewing Attestations
Scroll down to the Attestations section on the Home Page.

Tap Attestations tile to see all the attestations.
Completed attestations are marked as Agreed.
Incomplete attestations show an I Agree tag.
- Tap the attestation with the I Agree tag to review and complete it.
- Review the information displayed on each attestation card, including the title, description, and due date.
- Tap I Agree.
Review the confirmation message.
Tap Confirm to complete the attestation.
Compliance Management
The Compliance tab displays all requirements set by your school and their current status to help track completion.
To access compliance information, tap on the Compliance tile in the home-screen or tap the Compliance menu at the bottom of the screen.

Uploading Compliance Documents
Tap a document with Get Started status.
Tap the plus (+) icon to add the document.
Enter the required details, such as dates and notes.
Tap Upload Files and select a file from your device.
Confirm that the file meets the required format and size.Tap Submit.
Viewing and Downloading Documents
Tap View Documents, select a document, and tap View Document to open it.
Tap Download to save the document for offline access.
Editing Compliance Documents
Documents can be managed based on their status to edit pending records or update existing submissions as needed.
- If the document status is Pending review:
- Tap the document.
- Click on the Pencil Icon.
- Make the required updates.
- Tap Submit.

If the document status is Expired or About to Expire:
- Select the requirement.
- Tap Add New Record.
- Upload the new document.
- The previous record is automatically archived.
Viewing Program Requirements
Program Requirements display all requirements set by your school to track your academic and clinical progress.
Scroll down to the Program Requirements section on the Home Page.
Tap Program Requirements to view all the requirements set by your school.
Program Requirements consist of three tabs: Completed, Pending, and Placed.- Click a tab to view and review the corresponding requirements.
Coursework Management
The Coursework tab allows students to view placements, courses, and learning activities assigned by their school. Students can also access course details, placement information, gradebook information, and coursework items requiring attention.
To access coursework information, tap the Coursework menu at the bottom of the screen.
Coursework Sections
The Coursework section helps students view and manage their placements and enrolled courses in one place. It provides a clear overview of current, completed, and upcoming clinical experiences along with academic coursework.
Different Placement Types:

The Coursework section includes course-level information. Students can review details related to their courses, including placement information and gradebook data, from a single location.
Access Course Details
- Open the Exxat Student Mobile App.
- Tap Coursework from the bottom navigation menu.
- Select a course.
The Course Details page opens.
Review Course Information
The Course Details page provides information about the selected course.
Depending on your program configuration, you may be able to view:
- Course information
- Placement details
- Gradebook information
Review the available information as needed.
Course Info Tab
The Course Info tab provides general course information.
Students can view:
- Nature of the Course
- Academic Term
- Academic Year
- Course Identifier
The Course Info tab also provides access to course resources.

Viewing Placement Requirements for a Course
The Coursework section identifies whether a course requires a placement.
This information helps students understand placement expectations associated with individual courses.
View Placement Requirements
- Open the Exxat Student Mobile App.
- Tap Coursework.
- Select a course.
Viewing Coursework Items Requiring Attention
The Coursework section now displays coursework items that require attention.
This helps students quickly identify tasks that may need review, completion, or follow-up action.
View Coursework Items Requiring Attention
- Open the Exxat Student Mobile App.

The Coursework section displays the number of items requiring attention.
- Review the Need Attention count.
- Select an item requiring attention to view additional details.
Resolve Coursework Items
- Open the coursework item.
- Review the information provided.
- Complete any required actions.
- Save or submit the item, if applicable.
The Need Attention count updates as coursework items are completed.

Within a placement, students can manage Patient logs, Timesheets, Time Off requests, and Evaluations to track clinical activities and complete required submissions.
Managing Experiential Supervisors
The Add Experiential Supervisor feature allows you to associate an experiential supervisor with your placement.
Depending on your program configuration, you may be able to:
- Select an existing experiential supervisor from your institution's directory.
- Add a new experiential supervisor.
- Add multiple experiential supervisors to a placement.
Using existing experiential supervisors helps reduce duplicate records and minimizes manual data entry.
Experiential Supervisors are referred to by different terms depending on the discipline.
For example:
- In PT, they are called Clinical Instructors.
- In PA, they are called Preceptors.
Selecting an Existing Experiential Supervisor
If your institution has existing experiential supervisors associated with your placement site, you can search for and select them directly from the Add Preceptor screen.
Selecting an existing experiential supervisor automatically associates the supervisor with your placement.
Select an Existing Experiential Supervisor
- Open the course that requires an experiential supervisor.
- Navigate to the Placement tab.
- Select Add Experiential Supervisor.
- In the Search Preceptor by name or email field, enter the experiential supervisor's name or email address.
- Select the appropriate experiential supervisor from the search results.

The experiential supervisor is associated with the placement.
- Use the Note for Admin field to provide additional information or request updates related to the experiential supervisor record. Comments entered in this field are visible only to administrators.
- Only active experiential supervisors associated with the placement site or its parent site are available for selection.
Adding a New Experiential Supervisor
If the required experiential supervisor is not available in the existing list, you can create a new experiential supervisor record.
The new experiential supervisor is associated with your placement and may require administrative review depending on your institution's configuration.
Add a New Experiential Supervisor
- Open the course that requires an experiential supervisor.
- Navigate to the Placement tab.
- Select Add Experiential Supervisor.
- Select Add New Experiential Supervisor.
- Complete the experiential supervisor information.

Managing Patient Logs
Patient Logs enable students to document, monitor, and manage their patient encounters during clinical placements.
Patient Log Statuses
In Progress – Logs started but not submitted
Pending Review – Logs submitted and awaiting review
Approved – Logs reviewed and approved
Needs Attention – Logs requiring updates or resubmission
Adding New Patient Logs
Open the course.
Tap the Activities tab.

Tap Add Patient Log.
Complete the required sections.
Tap Save to save the log as a draft.
Tap Submit to submit the log for review.

Managing Timesheets
Timesheets allow students to record placement hours completed during clinical experiences.
Timesheet entries can be saved as drafts, submitted for review, and tracked through the approval process.
Timesheet Statuses
In Progress – Timesheet has been started but not yet submitted.
Pending Review – Timesheet has been submitted and is awaiting review.
Approved – Timesheet has been reviewed and approved.
Not Approved – Timesheet has been reviewed but not accepted and may require correction or resubmission.
Adding and Submitting Timesheets
- Open the course.
- Tap the Activities tab.

Tap Add Timesheet.
- Complete the required information.

Requesting Time Off
Time Off requests allow students to notify placement personnel about planned absences and document missed placement time.
Students can specify the absence period, provide a reason, and describe how missed time will be completed.
Time Off Request Statuses
In Progress – The request has been started but not yet submitted.
Pending Review – The request has been submitted and is awaiting approval.
Approved – The request has been reviewed and approved.
Not Approved – The request has been reviewed and declined.
Submitting a Time Off Request
Open the course.
Tap the Activities tab.

Complete the required information.

Students can access gradebook information directly from the Course Details page.
This allows students to review academic progress without leaving the Coursework section.
View Gradebook Information
- Open the Exxat Student Mobile App.
- Tap Coursework.
- Select a course.
- Navigate to the gradebook information available for the course.
Review the available grade information.
Forms and Evaluations
Students can access and complete forms and evaluations directly within their placement. To access Forms & Evaluations:
- Tap Evaluations.
A list of all evaluations will appear along with their status. - Tap on an Evaluation to view, start, or continue working on it.
Evaluations Statuses
- Get Started – The evaluation is available but has not yet been started.
- In Progress – The evaluation has been started but is not yet complete.
- Pending Review – The evaluation has been submitted and is awaiting review.
- Pending Student Review – The evaluation has been reviewed and is awaiting acknowledgment or action from the student.
Switching Between Placements
Tap Switch Placement in the upper-right corner of the screen. The system returns you to the Coursework page, where you can select another placement.

Profile Management
Students can view, edit, and add profile information, including emergency contacts and profile images. Sections can be expanded, edited, or updated as needed.
To view profile details:
Tap on the More vertical ellipsis.
Tap Profile.
Tap a section to expand and view details.
To edit profile information:
- Tap the edit (pencil) icon next to a section.
- Make changes.
- Tap Save.
To add a new entry:
- Tap a section (for example, Emergency Contacts).
- Tap the add (+) icon.
- Enter details.
- Tap Save.
To update your profile image:
- Tap the profile image at the top.
- Select Gallery or Camera.
- Choose or take a photo.
- Crop and tap Choose.
Academics
The Academics section provides access to your academic information, including academic status, enrollment details, program progress, requirements, and assigned faculty or advisors.
To view academic details:
- Tap on the More vertical ellipsis.
- Tap Academics.
- View your academic summary, including status, enrollment year, expected graduation, and program details.
- Scroll to view cohort, requirements, and progress indicators.
Review notes and documents shared by faculty or the system.
Communications
The Communications section displays messages, updates, and important notifications shared by your institution.
To view communications:
- Tap on the More vertical ellipsis.
- Tap Communications.
Browse the list of messages or updates. - Tap any item to open and view details.
Review announcements shared by faculty or administrators.
Interventions
The Interventions section provides access to assigned interventions and related support actions.
To view interventions:
- Tap on the More vertical ellipsis.
- Tap Interventions.
View the list of assigned interventions. - Tap an intervention to open details.
Review status, notes, and related updates.
Resources
The Resources section provides access to institution-specific documents, materials, and contact information. Available resources vary by program. It includes two tabs: School Resources and School Contacts.
To view School Resources:
- Tap on the More vertical ellipsis.
- Tap Resources.
- Open the School Resources tab to view all available materials.
- Tap any item to view or open it.
Use the dropdown to select a category, search to find a resource, and filter to refine results.
To view School Contacts:
- Tap the School Contacts tab.
Browse the list of available contacts. - Tap any contact to view details.
Help and Support
The Help & Support section allows students to quickly get assistance, track their queries, and connect with the support team. You can submit new tickets, review your previous requests, or use Live Chat for immediate help.
To access Help and Support:
Tap on the More vertical ellipsis.
Tap Help.
List of all submitted requests will be displayed.- Tap a ticket to view details.
To create a new ticket:
- Tap the add (+) icon.
- Enter a Subject and Question.
- (Optional) Tap Browse to Upload to attach a file.
- Tap Submit.
To use Live Chat:
- Tap the Chat tab.
- Start a conversation with support.
Settings
The Settings section allows users to customize application preferences.
To access Settings:
- Tap More (three dots).
- Tap Settings.
To change appearance:
- Tap Appearance.
- Select one of the following options:
- Light Mode
- Dark Mode

Changes take effect immediately after selection.
Logging Out
Tap on the More vertical ellipsis.
Scroll to the bottom of the screen.
Tap Logout and confirm when prompted.
You are now logged out of the application.
