This guide explains how to add, edit, and delete course measures from the Curriculum Grid. It also introduces Review with Leo, which provides AI-based feedback to help admins and faculty strengthen course measure descriptions.
You will also learn how to add tags to measures and use Leo’s suggested description when it is helpful.
Overview
Measures represent the objectives, outcomes, goals, and other components associated with a course. You can manage these measures directly from the course within a Curriculum Grid.
When adding or editing a course measure, Review with Leo can help you improve the description. Leo reviews the description against standard course measure writing practices and, where applicable, suggests an improved version.
The available measure categories are created on the Program Details page and activated for the Curriculum Grid.
Access Course Measures
Login to Exxat Prism using your university credentials.
From the Exxat Prism Dashboard or the Hamburger menu, go to Curriculum Mapping.
From the curriculum mapping page, from the list of available curriculum grids, select the grid you want to work with.
Select the course for which you want to manage measures.
The course page displays the measure categories that have been activated for the selected Curriculum Grid.
If measures already exist within a category, use the downward arrow to expand the category and review them.
Add a Course Measure
Locate the measure category where you want to add a measure.
Select the + Add "Measure Category Name" button on the measure category card.
In the Add "Measure Category Name" drawer that opens, enter the measure details.
Code: Enter the number or code for the measure, such as 1, 2, or 3.
Description: Enter the description of the course measure.
Review the Description with Leo
After entering the course measure description, use Review with Leo to receive AI-based feedback.
Leo reviews the description against standard course measure writing practices and provides suggestions for strengthening it. When applicable, Leo also suggests an improved version of the description.
Review Leo’s feedback and suggested wording, click Accept to use the suggestion if it better represents the intended course measure or click Dismiss.
Leo provides suggestions to help improve your writing. Review the suggested description to make sure it accurately reflects the intended course measure before saving it.
Notes: Use the Notes section to provide additional context or instructions to the course measure.
Tags: Add or apply tags to help organize and track measures.
For example, tags can identify measures as In Progress, Reviewed, Needs Review, Needs Attention, or Highest Level Objective.
Tags work like labels or sticky notes that help you and your team identify and report on measures that need attention or have reached a particular status.To create a tag:
- Select the + icon next to Tags.
You can apply the existing tag or add new tag
- To Apply Tag
- Select the tag
- Click Apply.
- To Add Tag
- Click Add new tag
- Enter the tag name in the text area. For example, enter Reservation.
- If needed, select the paint icon next to the tag name to choose a color.
- Click Add.
New Tag is added to the list. Apply the newly created tag to the appropriate measure.
- Click Add new tag
Once applied, the tag appears with the measure on the course page.
- To Apply Tag
- Select the + icon next to Tags.
- Add any supporting documents required using the Browse to Upload option. Ensure the file size is not more than 25MB.
- Click Save.
Continue adding measures as needed using the available option to add course objectives.
Edit a Course Measure
- Select the objective or measure you want to edit.
- Select the edit icon next to the measure.
- The edit measure drawer opens. Update the description or other available information as needed.
- If you change the description, you can use Review with Leo to review the updated wording and consider Leo’s suggested improvements.
- Click Save when you are finished.
Delete a Course Measure
Deleting a measure also deletes the mappings and attributes associated with that measure. it.
- Select the measure you want to delete, then select its edit icon to open the edit drawer.
- Select the three dots next to Save.
- Select Delete.
The measure and its associated mappings and attributes are deleted.
Troubleshooting
