Your school may require you to complete the CIET in Exxat. The CIET follows a specific workflow:
- Completing training for CIET
- Resending form to CI
- Cancelling submitted form to CI
- Sending CIET form to SCCE
1. To navigate to the Coursework Section, Click on the Coursework Section from your Student Dashboard.

Click on the Left Hand Hamburger Menu and select the Coursework Option.
2. Select the placement you would like to complete a CIET form for by clicking View Details.
3. Scroll down on the right side until you find the section called Forms/Evaluations. In this Section you will see an option to click on the CIET. Click on the link for the CIET which will say “Get Started” in the status column, if you have not started it yet.
Note: before you start your CIET you should enter a CI. To add a CI, in the Clinical Instructor section, click on the + icon (you'll be able to add one before you submit the CIET in case you forget).
4. If you have started the form, you will see a status “In Progress by Student”
Completing training for CIET
5. If this is your first time completing a CIET form, you will be asked to complete the training. You must score at least a 15/20 (75%) on this assessment before you can move forward.
Make sure to watch the training video and any additional resources provided within the Instructions header.
6. Once you pass the training, click Ok.
7. Complete the CIET. If you are not able to complete the full form in one sitting, you can save your progress and come back to it by clicking the Save button.
8. Once you have answered all the questions, select your CI from the CI drop-down field and click Submit.
9. In the dropdown, if you have not added a CI yet, you may see an option "+Add Clinical Instructor". Clicking on that will open a drawer for you to enter your CI's information.
10. You’ll then rate yourself on a global rating scale. Once done, click Submit.
11. You will be asked to confirm that you want to submit; click OK. Your CI will be sent an email with a link to complete the CIET.
12. When you return to the course page, the CIET status will now be “Pending Instructor Review.”
13. If your CI does not receive an email with the link to complete the CIET, check the email address you used in the CI Information section.
14. If it is not correct, edit the email address on the course page under Clinical Instructor and resend the form.
Resending form to CI
15. If the address is correct, go back to the CIET and resend the form to them via the resend option on the right side of the screen.
16. If you realize you need to make changes to your submitted CIET, or to resend the form, click on the CIET form within the Clinical Coursework section.
17.The CIET form will load.
18. If you’d like to resend the CIET, click Resend.
19. If you’d like to make changes to the CIET, click Cancel Form Submission.
20. Please note, that you can cancel your submission at any point in time until your CI submits their midterm form.
Cancelling submitted form to CI
21. If you cancel your form submission, this will revoke access to the CIET form for your CI.22. Once you are done making changes, make sure to Resend the form to them so they can continue their form.
23. Any progress your CI has completed before the submission cancellation will be saved.
24. Once your CI completes their CIET midterm form, the status on the course page will be updated to Pending School Review.
25. After your school reviews the CIET, you can begin the final. To do this, please follow the same steps listed above.
Sending CIET form to SCCE
26 If a SCCE requests a copy of the CIET, you can click on the Download button to download the copy of the CIET and send it via personal email
