Reviewing Clinical Logs

Once your students begin submitting clinical logs, you’ll be able to review their logs and mark any if they need edits.

1. Select Learning Activities from your dashboard or left panel menu.
   
2. Select Clinical Log for the desired course offering.
   
3. You can also find the course or rotation you’d like to review using the Learning Activity Groups, simply select your desired course or rotation.
   
4. You’ll be taken to the Clinical Logs page, which will display all the rotations, number of logs breakdown by different status. You can apply the filter from the funnel icon to filter by status. Click on the down arrow to expand the rotation.
    
   1. The system will display all placed students and their current log count by status, current log hours by status. Click on any status or on Pending Review for reviewing.
   2. Total logs/hours – The silver-chalice-dark colour option displays the total no. of logs and log hours.
   3. Pending Review – The Picasso colour option displays the no. of logs and log hours that needs to be reviewed.
   4. Needs Attention – The pale red colour option displays the no. of logs and log hours that needs attention for the students.
   5. Approved – The fruit salad colour option displays the no. of logs and log hours that have been already approved.
      
5. A drawer will open. You’ll have a tally at the top indicating how many logs and hours are in each status.
   1. You can easily approve all logs or multiple logs using the open checkboxes.
   2. To review an individual log, click on the LOG ID.
6. The log will open, you can then review the template. If the same looks good, you can:
   1. Approve the log: will inform the student the log has been reviewed and will not allow them to make further changes.
7. If the form needs additional information or changes, provide feedback, and select Needs Attention.
   
8. If the form needs missing updates or changes, select the option, and select Update.
   
9. In any circumstance, if the form needs to be deleted, select the Delete button.
   
10. You can also approve logs in bulk for a selected student.
    
11. To view statistics report on the same student, click on Statistics tab on the same page or on the graph icon on the Clinical log main page.
    
    
12. A drawer will open, and you can view the statistical data by Setting and Rotation.
    
13. Please note, the statistics report is updated at 6 am EST every day. Data entered may not be reflected instantly.
14. Click on the export icon to extract the data in pdf format.
