Exxat Prism Release Walkthrough (June 2026) Part 2
The Exxat Prism June 2026 Release (R45) Webinar – Part 2, presented by Kanthi Supriya Kalidindi, Associate Director of Customer Experience, and David Stocker, Project Manager, showcased key enhancements focused on sites, placements, process management, curriculum mapping, learning activities, and reporting.
The session introduced bulk site management capabilities, improvements to placement workflows and student requests, enhanced curriculum cloning and standards mapping, a redesigned Learning Activities experience, and new reporting features that provide greater flexibility, deeper insights, and stronger accreditation support. Together, these updates continue Exxat Prism's commitment to streamlining program administration and improving the experience for students, faculty, and administrators.
Key Takeaways:
-
Sites: The R45 release introduced bulk adding of Exxat One locations to Exxat Prism, eliminating the need to add locations one by one. Administrators can now also control whether individual locations appear on the student-facing map, and preceptor profiles display a full history of associated placements with rotation-level filtering.
-
Placements: The new Experiential Supervisor Intake Form lets programs send preceptors a self-completing profile link that carries forward across future requests from any program. Students can now select existing preceptors from a program directory when logging their placement, and the Placement Assist algorithm has been enhanced to respect advanced schedule overlaps automatically.
-
Process My Requests: Students can now submit field placement preferences with a built-in interview status tracker to manage each location through the process. Administrators can also enter or add responses on behalf of students directly in MyRequest, useful when students communicate preferences verbally or need assistance completing their submission.
-
Curriculum Mapping: Cloning a curriculum for a new cohort now includes the option to carry forward learning activities — along with their setup and activation status — saving significant manual effort. The mapped standards report has also been updated to distinguish between direct and indirect mappings, giving programs a clearer picture of how course objectives connect to accreditation standards.
-
Learning Activities: A fully redesigned Learning Activities overview brings setup, review, distribution, and reporting into one unified interface with a navigation ribbon, replacing the previous fragmented experience. Timesheet categories now support up to three hierarchical levels for more granular clinical activity tracking, and auto notifications have been extended to non-placement-based forms. Approved patient logs can also now be moved back to needs attention status when corrections are required.
- Reports: Administrators can now assign custom names to any standard report to make frequently used reports easier to find and organize. A new encounter hours distribution report adds a time-spent dimension to patient log data, going beyond simple counts to show how long students spent with each type of patient. Nursing programs also now have a dedicated accreditation report section that maps ACEN, CCNE, and COA standards directly to relevant data within Exxat Prism.
